Our Hurricane Rated provide superior safety and security that meet Florida Building Code (FBC), International Building and Residential Codes (IBC/IRC) and other stringent state building codes for skylights installed in Wind Zone 3 and 4 coastal applications.

Our Classic square pyramid model (CPY-FBC) is Florida Product Approved/Non-Impact (WBDR)/NON HVHZ.

Our Pinnacle framing systems support spans of up to 15’ wide* and Classic framing system up to 6′ wide.* Both are available with a wide range finish options.

Wasco skylight structures are available in a broad range of colors and finishes:

Wasco uses hurricane-resistant insulating glass made of heat strengthened low-E lites permanently bonded with one or more interlayers of durable SGP (DuPont SentryGlas® Plus). In exhaustive impact tests, broken glass fragments have adhered to the bonded plastic vinyl interlayer, reducing the risk of injury, shattered glass and breaching the building envelope.

Available in Pinnacle 350 and 600 framing systems with 3.5″ or 6″ aluminum rafters. Tested to meet 80 psf design pressure, and small and large missile impact. Available with laminated or insulating glazing. Up to 15′ wide spans.*

Also available in 6′ wide Classic framing system, Florida Product Approved / Non-Impact Zones.

Classic System

Square pyramid model CPY-FBC

Our light-framed, economical Classic System can ship preassembled and preglazed.

With insulating glass and a thermally broken perimeter sill, the fully thermalized Wasco Classic structural system offers architects unlimited options for dramatic, cost-effective designs.

  • Components are prefabricated for easy installation on site
  • Designed for square pyramids up to 6’6”x6’6”
  • Versatile curb-mount design using site-built curbs for both pitched and flat roof applications
  • Standard pitches available include 5:12, 7:12 and 12:12
  • Concealed fasteners and narrow framing members for clean, aesthetically pleasing appearance
  • Integral condensation gutters drain water to the exterior for full moisture control
  • Urethane thermal break incorporated around perimeter to minimize condensation on aluminum components
  • One of the industry’s first light-framed skylighting systems capable of utilizing today’s high performance glazings

Quicker Installation
Components always assemble the same consistent way. Sills encompass the entire perimeter so installers rely less on sealants.

Continuous sill enclosure around skylight perimeter helps reduce air infiltration through weep holes and effectively guards against water intrusion. Thermally-enhanced construction.
